Lauren Beecher grew up locally in Moreton Bay and attended Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Vision Science and a Master of Optometry in 2021. She achieved a GPA of 7.0 on a 7.0 scale and received the University Medal. Lauren has been recognised with multiple awards for academic excellence, including the Asia Pacific Golden Key Undergraduate Award, QUT Vice-Chancellor Scholar Award, Brian Brown Research Award, and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Award. She was published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine in 2022.
Lauren is passionate about optimising her patients' visual potential and enhancing their quality of life through the prevention, detection, and management of eye disease, along with optical correction of refractive errors. With 2.5 years of practice, she enjoys all aspects of general optometry, with particular interests in myopia control and ocular therapeutics. Outside of work, Lauren is an avid tennis enthusiast, enjoys NRL, and values spending time with her family and friends.
